Our initiatives in the area of Environment & Climate

Actively combating climate change

As a mechanical engineering company for the industrial sector, we are aware of our role in tackling global challenges and are committed to actively contributing to the protection of the environment and the mitigation of climate change. Here you can find out what specific measures we at Logopak are taking to achieve our environmental goals.

Switch to renewable energies

In addition to the partial switch to LED lighting, we already completed the switch to renewable energies in 2023. By using clean energy from sources such as sun, wind and water, we are actively helping to reduce our carbon  footprint.

Preserving
biodiversity

Our labels have FSC and PEFC certifications and thus make a decisive contribution to the preservation of forests and meadows. Natural areas are often home to a large number of species that occur exclusively in this region and play an indispensable role in the local ecosystems.

Further reducing the use of water resources

In 2022, our average water consumption was 8.9 m3 per employee. This water is primarily used for sanitary facilities, office kitchens and cleaning. This means that water consumption per employee is below the average of 32 m3 (Destatis 2016) for comparable sectors of the economy in Germany.

Actively minimising environmental impact

We have implemented targeted measures to ensure the sustainable use of resources and our environment. This includes the precise calculation and careful disposal of the quantities of waste produced. Thanks to our efficient processes, we generate only small quantities of waste water from the cooling water of our machines.

Optimising the circular economy and resource efficiency

All our labelling systems are designed for an extremely long service life and therefore make a significant contribution to preserving valuable resources. Our portfolio also includes sustainable labelling solutions that help to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Our linerless labels dispense with backing material and reduce material waste by 40 % per roll and CO2 emissions by 75 kg per 1,000 m2. In addition, linerless technology eliminates the need for time-consuming collection and disposal of waste material.
