For the first time ever, the Logopak Vericoder offers integrated and fully automatic in-line barcode evaluation in accordance with the ISO/IEC standards 15426 and 15426-1. As the label is being printed, the Vericoder provides full evaluation of the barcode characteristics to ISO or ANSI standards. It carries out multiple reads of the printed barcode, and then evaluates and saves characteristics such as the barcode quality, print contrast etc.
From all this information, the Vericoder creates and gives out diagnostic data for remedial action should a barcode fail to meet the minimum standard set. For reliable and error-free logistic processes.
The barcodes are evaluated optically. All relevant information such as contents, classifications, contrast, defects, decodability etc. are saved securely and transparently. The measured data can be uploaded and saved to the customer’s IT system.
